5 Epic Lessons

5 Epic Lessons

I might not have all the answers to life... But I definitely have some. There are five things I have learned over the years that have guided me through my journey, both in professional and personal aspects of life, that I think could really benefit you, too. So, grab a pen and journal, find a comfy zone for you to relax in, and deep dive with me into these lessons - allowing them to help you make a conscious mindset shift and feel confident about exactly where and who you are.

#1 - Happiness

Let’s start with the biggest and best lesson, the one that is utterly and wholeheartedly in your control - happiness. We may not be able to control everything that happens to us in this life, but we can control how we interact with and react to those experiences. I’m not saying being happy 24/7 will turn you into super woman - we are still human, and nobody is expected to radiate brightness all day, every day. Sometimes that light dims, but it’s up to us to make sure we can guide the ups and downs along the way. Allow yourself to reground and align your thoughts to be positive, creating happiness and harmony in your world. After all, you hold the key to your happiness.

#2 - Redefining Success

Many of us have come from a background where success looks like a set ‘plan’ - working a corporate job, earning the big bucks, maybe a university degree or two. I’m here to tell you that every single one of us has a different version of what success looks like. There is no one size fits all when it comes to living your best life. Perhaps success to you looks like raising a family and being a wonderful parent. Maybe it’s to climb the ranks in that corporate job, or to quit your job and start your true passion project. Success can only be defined by what makes you happy, when you appreciate the journey and do things on your own terms, not for external validation.

#3 - Done Is Better Than Perfect

The more you stress over getting things done perfectly, the less you actually enjoy the process - the less joy you find in getting out of your comfort zone. Getting something done creates a sense of accomplishment and confidence. There is no such thing as the perfect time, the perfect website, the perfect logo. Whatever it is, perfect doesn’t exist, so why are we striving for it? The worst that can happen is you learn a valuable lesson for the future, and if that’s the worst-case scenario, I would happily take that on board!

#4 - Trust The Process

Although it is sometimes easier said than done, the more faith we place in being

where we are meant to be, the greater the reward will be later. I believe we all

have certain lessons and experiences we need to go through in this lifetime to continue to evolve into the person we are here to be. Sometimes these situations are

uncomfortable - sometimes they include heartbreak, loss, illness. But from my belief, we need to go through them to get to where we are destined to be. Trust where you

are, have faith and build a practice that allows you to feel confident in your journey.

#5 - Mastering Your Mindset Is a Constant Work in Progress

Now more than ever, it is so important for us to be mindful and take care of ourselves, and each other. With the pandemic affecting each of us in different ways, whether you have to stay at home or life is getting some kind of normalcy back, a positive and healthy mindset is the greatest tool you will carry with you, always. It doesn’t mean that you listen to a short

meditation and journal once and you will be a whole new person - if only it were that easy! Mastering your mindset takes time, but we are here to evolve and there is nothing you can do that is more powerful than investing in yourself. Spend less time on Instagram and Netflix, jump onto WellWeb and educate yourself on something new, read a real book (not one on your phone!) or take your dog for a walk. Find something that brings you joy and peace, and use it to conquer the greatest mindset of your life.

What brings me joy?

What does success feel like to me?

What is working for me right now?

Where am I holding myself back?
